Terms & Conditions

Rung Lab · Last updated: 10 May 2025 · Effective from: 10 May 2025

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Rung Lab website at runglabx.info and your enrolment in any Rung Lab programme. By using the website or submitting an enrolment enquiry, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or enquire about enrolment. Questions may be directed to [email protected].

1. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions:

  • "Rung Lab", "we", "us", "our" refers to Rung Lab, operating at 27 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
  • "Programme" refers to any part-time educational cohort or track offered by Rung Lab, including the AI for Educators Cohort, the Computer Vision Track, and the Applied Vision Systems Programme.
  • "Participant" or "you" refers to any person who enrols in or enquires about a Rung Lab programme, or who uses the Rung Lab website.
  • "Website" refers to the Rung Lab website available at runglabx.info and all related pages.
  • "Content" refers to all materials, session recordings, handouts, exercises, and resources provided as part of a programme.
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions together with any programme-specific enrolment agreement.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or enquiring about or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
  • You agree to be bound by them.

If you are enquiring on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

3. Programme Description and Availability

Rung Lab offers part-time educational programmes focused on applied AI development. Current programmes include:

  • AI for Educators Cohort — ten weeks, fee of ฿4,600 per participant.
  • Computer Vision Track — fourteen weeks, fee of ฿9,800 per participant.
  • Applied Vision Systems Programme — six months, fee of ฿14,200 per participant.

Programme availability is subject to cohort scheduling and capacity. Rung Lab reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a cohort if the minimum number of participants is not reached, in which case participants will be offered a place in the next available cohort or a full refund of any fee paid.

Programmes are delivered primarily online via live sessions scheduled in the evening (ICT). In-person elements, where offered, take place at our Nimmanhaemin Road premises in Chiang Mai.

4. Enrolment and Registration

Enrolment is confirmed when Rung Lab sends written confirmation following receipt of the programme fee. Submission of an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment. Rung Lab may decline an enrolment if, in our reasonable assessment, the participant's stated background does not meet the programme's entry requirements, and in such cases any fee paid will be refunded in full.

5. Payment Terms

Programme fees are stated in Thai baht (฿) and are due in full prior to the start of the cohort, unless a separate payment arrangement has been agreed in writing. Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at the time of enquiry. Fees do not include any compute costs that a participant may incur through use of third-party cloud services — where such costs may arise, they are described in advance.

6. Refund Policy

Refund terms are as follows:

  • Withdrawal more than 14 days before the programme start date: full refund of the programme fee.
  • Withdrawal between 7 and 14 days before the programme start date: 50% refund of the programme fee.
  • Withdrawal fewer than 7 days before the programme start date, or after the programme has begun: no refund, unless Rung Lab has cancelled the cohort.
  • Cohort cancelled by Rung Lab: full refund of the programme fee.

Refund requests should be submitted in writing to [email protected].

7. Participant Responsibilities

As a participant, you agree to:

  • Engage with programme sessions and exercises honestly and in good faith.
  • Respect the contributions and privacy of other participants in shared sessions.
  • Not share programme materials, session recordings, or proprietary content with third parties without written permission from Rung Lab.
  • Handle any datasets or data used in exercises in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the guidance provided in each session.
  • Not misrepresent your background or credentials in connection with Rung Lab or its programmes.

8. Intellectual Property

All programme content — including session materials, exercises, handouts, and recordings — is the intellectual property of Rung Lab unless otherwise stated. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use programme materials for their own learning during and after the programme. This licence does not permit reproduction, resale, or redistribution of materials.

Work produced by participants during the programme, including applied projects, remains the intellectual property of the participant. Rung Lab may, with your permission, reference your project in programme descriptions or case studies.

9. Disclaimers

Rung Lab programmes are provided for educational purposes. We do not make claims about specific outcomes that participants will achieve as a result of completing a programme. The applied AI field changes rapidly and while we review programme content before each cohort, we cannot ensure that all material will remain current throughout the programme period.

The website and any content provided through it are offered on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind beyond those implied by applicable Thai law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Rung Lab's total liability to a participant in connection with a programme is limited to the fee paid by that participant for that programme. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from participation in a programme or use of the website.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law.

11. Termination

Rung Lab may terminate a participant's access to a programme without refund if the participant:

  • engages in conduct that disrupts sessions or harms other participants;
  • shares programme materials with third parties without permission; or
  • provides materially false information in connection with their enrolment.

A participant may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 6.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or a programme will first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of written notice, it will be referred to the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, which shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: these terms, together with any programme-specific enrolment agreement, constitute the entire agreement between Rung Lab and the participant in relation to the programme.
  • Severability: if any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: failure by Rung Lab to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Notices: notices under these terms should be sent to [email protected] or by post to 27 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled participants by email. Continued use of the website or participation in a programme after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
